Indian service provider delivers SAAS based on SPIRIT DSP's VideoMost video conferencing software

SPIRIT DSP, the world's No. 1 voice and video over IP engines provider serving more than one billion users in over 100 countries, announced today that iJunxion, an Indian service provider, has licensed VideoMost, a massively multipoint web based video conferencing software product.

With the help of VideoMost, iJunxion now delivers SAAS video conferencing and a co-branded cloud service to its Indian corporate and government clients. The product combines an HD videoconferencing with collaboration tools, such as document sharing and the ability to connect SIP endpoints, such as Polycom VC hardware.

iJunxion's cloud-based video conferencing service delivered from own servers, complements the company's B2B voice services, which are designed to bring unified communications to SMB and companies with regional distribution networks and overseas sales, as well as other businesses that require frequent business trips.

VideoMost was thoroughly tested by iJunxion before licensing it. One of the key points for iJunxion is VideoMost SIP integration with legacy multipoint video conferencing hardware. This includes a superb voice and 720p HD-video quality, with standards-based endpoints like Polycom on 512 kbps channels.

This superior quality was achieved thanks to VideoMost's core TeamSpirit Voice&Video Engine. It supersedes Skype and Viber in terms of voice quality by around 0.5 MOS in all the TIA-921-B network profiles, including those with the most challenging combination of network impairments and very low bandwidths.

TeamSpirit's Voice&Video Engine tests were held according to the ITU-T P.862 and P.862.2 recommendations on objective methods for an end-to-end wideband voice quality assessment.

“Location doesn't matter when using VideoMost. This product offers an opportunity to be connected with colleagues and partners as well as participate in massive multipoint HD web video conferencing server,” iJunxion CEO Dhananjay Saheba said. “The VideoMost web-videoconferencing product has already earned the trust of its users in Russia and other European countries. We are also expecting a very high demand for it in India.”

”A number of service providers has already rolled out these HD web conferencing software under their own brands to their enterprise customers on VideoMost platform,” SPIRIT VP Alexander Kravchenko said. “VideoMost has accumulated over 10 years of SPIRIT expertise in scalable HD voice and video coding.”
